This career intervention is designed for students and young adults who are at the school or higher education to work transition stage to explore and gain insight on their ‘next step’.  This group provides a platform that surrounds culturally sensitive strategies to address their career concerns to help them gain knowledge about themselves.

It encourages members to look from a broader perspective to develop the self and to choose a suitable and consider viable opportunities for their careers. Thus, by recognising their skills, values and interests through this counselling group, it may help students to establish career goals easily.

Counselling can help with all sorts of different issues that arise in life. It can help with positive events such as choosing a direction in life or reaching your full potential. Perhaps you are feeling a ‘bit stuck’ and would value the viewpoint of a counsellor. There may be things from your past that you would like to tackle or there may be things in the present that you want to try and change. Perhaps you are experiencing significant events in your life such as getting married and starting a family, leaving home for the first time or coming to terms with the death of a loved one. Talking with Neelam will help find your path through a therapeutic and safe relationship.

At different points in schooling, children may need more support than they can get from their school.  That’s where a counselling psychologist comes into the picture. Neelam works with students at all levels, from elementary school to college. She is an advocate for students’ well-being, and are a valuable resource for their educational and personal development. She helps students work through issues such as bullying, disabilities, low self-esteem, poor academic performance, social anxiety, problems with authority or problems at home.
